Peugot will be taking the wraps off its newest hot-hatch at Paris: the 207 GT. While anticipation had been building for a road-going production version of the 207 Super 2000 rally car (hinted at with the 207 RCup concept shown at Geneva), the latest information indicates that this will be the range-topper, and that PSA will be dropping the “i” from its traditional GTi moniker. 2007 Honda CR-V
You’ll find Honda most often on or near the bull’s-eye, what with the Accord, the Odyssey, the Civic, and the CR-V all nailing their targets through the crosshairs. From the center, Honda believes, there’s no direction to go but off the mark, which is why the 2007 CR-V remains pretty much what a CR-V has always been: an inexpensive five-seat duffel bag on wheels. Volkswagen Barbie Beetle
In a word, the New Beetle is cute. Okay, the Turbo is reasonably fun, and the not-for-US-sale RSi was a hairy-enough beast that the flower vase could have been replaced with a holster, but this erases all of it. The lug nuts are pink. Does that mean your little sister will learn to change a tire? Maybe that’s what this is: an educational opportunity aimed at involving more women in the ownership experience.

2009 Lotus Esprit
Lotus has a checkered history — quite apart from its seven Formula 1 World Championships. The road-car and engineering businesses have gone through periodic crises, and since Colin Chapman, the founder and inspiration of Lotus, died in 1982, the company has had three different owners: General Motors, Romano Artioli’s Bugatti, and Malaysian automaker Proton today. AudiWorld readers spy two R8 mules
AudiWorld’s Jason Teller dropped us a line to tell us some of the site’s Arizona readers snagged new shots of the R8 mule as it continues its test regimen. The shot above is the first one we can recall seeing in which the car is shod with wheels other than the Gallardo rims it’s been spotted wearing in just about every spy photo out there. Lotus Elise rentals are coming
Yesterday, our vision of a perfect world took a small step towards reality, when Lotus announced that they would make the Elise available to select rental car agencies. The decision was made in response to the unbridled affection shown by the U.S. market for the sub-ton roadster, along with the number of requests the company received for such a service.

2007 MINI brochure caught in the wild
Sure, it’s the UK version of a preview brochure for the new MINI, but come on, it’s the NEW MINI! In all seriousness, when we spotted that the MotoringFile had picked up a copy of the new brochure, we practically scrambled over each other to get it in front of your eyes. The file they got their hands on is a scanned copy of the pre-release literature, and it almost makes you feel dirty for looking at it. We don’t care! Continue reading 2007 MINI brochure caught in the wild
BMW 7-Series
The prying lens of Mrs. Priddy and her minions captured the newest 7-series during a test run, naturally dawning its prerequisite outerwear. The LLN crew gathered from the photos that the new seven will be ‘toned down a bit,’ compared to its Bangled elderly siblings, with a more subtle rear end and a revised fascia. Continue reading BMW 7-Series

Saab intros 9-7X Altitude Edition
Saab announced a limited-edition of its 9-7X SUV today that it’s calling the Altitude. By “limited,” we’re not kidding, as only 500 will be produced for model year 2007. The Altitude package includes a set polished 18″ alloys, side steps, a rear-seat entertainment system and an Altitude-exclusive metallic finish called “carbon fiber gray.” Continue reading Saab intros 9-7X Altitude Edition
Testdrove a 2007 Mercedes-Benz E280 CDI
The model I tried was the new E280 CDI in Avantgarde trim level. This was going to be an interesting testdrive, because I can compare the new facelifted E-Class directly to our very own 2002 E320, one of the first delivered in all of Germany. First impressions were positive. The new E-Class feels noticeably more solid than the pre-facelift version. The doors feel heavier and close with a nice “thud†sound.
