This is a bit of an old commercial, but it’s a good one, and since it’s resurfaced on the net, we thought we’d give you a chance to enjoy it again… for the first time. The ad is for Mercedes’ proprietary 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system and its astonishing homewrecking capabilities. Will the husband make it through the blizzard to catch his wife in the arms of another man? Not in this weather. Continue reading Not in this Weather – Mercedes ad video

Mercedes GL450 goes swimming for art’s sake
Renowned photographer Michael Muller just dumped a brand new Mercedes Benz GL450 into a swimming pool. And then he sent actress Eva Mendes in after it. In a dress. Now lest you think Michael a heel, understand that Eva was all for it. In fact, she seemed to quite enjoy it. You see, it was all done in the name of art. And it was done for a worthwhile charity to boot. Continue reading Mercedes GL450 goes swimming for art’s sake

Dave Schembri, tapped by Roger Penske to lead smart in the United States, sat in on Autoline Detroit recently and shared some info about the models we can expect to see when smart debuts here. There will be three models initially, a base, a top-of-the-line coupe, and a cabriolet, all versions of the smart ForTwo. Carlsson CK50 antes up 435 HP for the Mercedes GL-Class
Brabus may have beaten them to the punch by a few weeks, but you knew nothing was going to keep the engineers at Carlsson from getting their mitts on the big, bold Mercedes GL-Class SUV. The Carlsson CK50 begins life as a Euro-market GL 500 (currently, we only have the GL 450 here in the States). The base car is no slouch, dishing out some 388 horsepower, but we’re talking Deutsch tuners here, and with these guys, horsepower numbers beginning with number “3” are routinely laughed at. Mercedes E-class – all class
The florid Yank leaned forward to emphasise his point, no mean feat given his girth. BMWs are fur the fellah whose makin’ his money. Mercedes, on t’other hand, are fur the fellah whose made his money,” he leered. This good ol’ – and no doubt oil-rich – boy was how a certain Merc buyer was described (well, more or less) by a marketing bloke when I asked him to define the marque’s demographic. First Mercedes Benz CL600 Coupe Video Review
I believe this is the first video review of the all new 2007 Mercedes CL. The review was shown on the German TV channel VOX and is obviously in German. I would love to translate the video for you, but that would be very hard and time consuming, so if you are unable to understand the video and what the guy is saying, then just enjoy the video and the beautiful CL. Testdrove a 2007 Mercedes-Benz E280 CDI
The model I tried was the new E280 CDI in Avantgarde trim level. This was going to be an interesting testdrive, because I can compare the new facelifted E-Class directly to our very own 2002 E320, one of the first delivered in all of Germany. First impressions were positive. The new E-Class feels noticeably more solid than the pre-facelift version. The doors feel heavier and close with a nice “thud†sound.
