Kia unveils ‘Concept i’
Kia today pulled the covers off a completely new motoring solution, the Concept i. With the Concept i, Kia will be the first manufacturer to offer a modular car to UK customers enabling them to choose almost every aspect of their car from a simple ‘menu’. The ‘i’ is part of Kia’s initiative to provide design led vehicles which target European customers. With the help of their local Kia dealer, customers can choose the engine, transmission and trim specification of their vehicle before opting for the rear module – saloon, hatch, estate or pick-up formats are all available. Mazda Motor Europe Takes Imports in Belgium and Luxemburg into its own Hands
Mazda Motor Europe announced that effective today it is taking the distribution of Mazda in Belgiumand Luxemburg into its own hands, under the name of Mazda Motor Belux. Mazda takes over the import of Beherman Auto, which has taken care of distribution since 1967. The appointment of the new Managing Director, Olivier Sermeus, was announced in December 2006. The new management team consists of, among others, Dominique Wouters, Sales Manager, Johan Costrop, Marketing Manager, Lionel Goyeau, Finance Manager and René Derboven, After Sales Manager. Audi A6L as a mobile film theatre
Audi will be unveiling an innovative entertainment system for rear-seat passengers in the A6L at the Shanghai Auto Show (20 – 27 April 2007). Two 10.2-inch monitors are fitted on the backs of the front seats. The DVD player integrated in the centre armrest also includes connections for a games console, iPod and digital camera. Together with the TV tuner, the system transforms the luxury-class saloon into a mobile film theatre. Sound can be relayed via either the on-board speakers or headphones.
