2009 Mazda3Brenda Priddy and her camera-wielding spies caught the new Mazda3 undergoing testing, and although the shots themselves don’t provide much detail, per usual it’s more than meets the eye. The hacked-up front end indicates that a new fascia is on the way, likely to conform with the automaker’s penchant for swooped-back headlamps and larger fender blisters. Out back, a new dual exhaust arrangement will help to expel exhaust gases from either a 148 HP 2.0L four, or an upgraded 2.5L mill that will increase output between 20 and 30 HP over the outgoing 2.3L engine. Mazda Motor Europe Takes Imports in Belgium and Luxemburg into its own Hands

Mazda Motor Europe announced that effective today it is taking the distribution of Mazda in Belgiumand Luxemburg into its own hands, under the name of Mazda Motor Belux. Mazda takes over the import of Beherman Auto, which has taken care of distribution since 1967. The appointment of the new Managing Director, Olivier Sermeus, was announced in December 2006. The new management team consists of, among others, Dominique Wouters, Sales Manager, Johan Costrop, Marketing Manager, Lionel Goyeau, Finance Manager and René Derboven, After Sales Manager. Need for MAZDASPEED

veh_upcoming_ms3_1.jpgThe new MAZDASPEED3 will be featured in the upcoming Electronic Arts video game Need for Speed Carbon, which will be in stores across North America on November 1. Leading nontraditional marketing company Channel M worked with Mazda and EA, as well as retailers GameStop and EB Games, to create a campaign around the car and the game. Not only will the MAZDASPEED3 be integrated into the game, but Channel M is going to have the car featured at the game’s debut in GameStop and EB Games stores nationwide. Hydrogen rotary engine spins for Mazda
