Winner of General Lee auction backs out on $10 million bid

As many expected, the person who entered the winning bid of $9,900,500 for John Schneider’s personal 1969 Dodge “General Lee” Charger on eBay Motors last week has withdrawn it. Or at least, that’s what we’re led to believe by negative feedback left by Schneider, who on eBay goes by johnsebiz, on the profile of fellow eBay user fishbashr1. Dealers want Nitro’s features showcased

nitro.jpgDodge dealers love the new Nitro SUV’s looks and price. But many complain about the edgy Nitro ads created by the agency BBDO. One TV ad shows a Nitro jump-starting another car. The Nitro driver guns his engine, and the other car blows sky-high. Another ad shows a Nitro falling through the center of the earth and through hell to emerge on a street in an Asian country.  Arresting as they are, the ads don’t say anything about the Nitro’s features. Dodge Avenger JS for 2008

dodge-avenger-js.jpgDodge has made a return to the Australian market after two decades with its crossover Caliber. However, the ram’s head brand is better known for its Dukes of Hazzard muscle cars and it could be some time before we see those cars in Australia.
